Outbound — Terms of Use.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Outbound Labs LLC, a California limited liability company ("Outbound," "we," "us"), and govern your use of the Outbound mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If anything in these Terms conflicts with it, Apple's agreement applies to your use of the App on Apple devices.

Who can use Outbound

Your content and how you behave

You can post stories, posts, comments, messages, photos, safety reports, tips, prices, ratings and other content ("your content"). You keep ownership of it. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share it inside the App so the App can work (for example, showing your story to travelers in your city). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post or send anything that:

You can report content and block users from inside the App. We review reports and may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, without notice. Stories disappear after 24 hours.

Locations and meeting people

The App shows approximate locations of travelers who choose to share them, and lets you message and meet people. Use your judgment. Meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Outbound doesn't run background checks and isn't responsible for how other users behave.

Safety, travel and AI information

Safety reports, emergency numbers, alerts, events, prices, weather, maps, routes, travel times and answers from Lili (our AI concierge) come from other travelers, public data sources and AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are general information, not professional, legal, medical or emergency advice. In an emergency, contact local emergency services directly. Check important details (visas, flights, health) with official sources.

Outbound+ subscription

Outbound+ is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the extra features shown in the App when you subscribe, such as asking Lili anything, anytime, plus trip plans and briefings.

Third-party content and services

The App shows content from other services, including TikTok videos (played in TikTok's own player), Wikipedia, OpenStreetMap, Ticketmaster and others. That content belongs to its owners and is governed by their terms. Links to other apps and websites are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for them.

Our rights

The App, its design, code and branding belong to Outbound Labs LLC. Don't copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape or resell the App or its data, interfere with how it works, or use it to build a competing product. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the App at any time.

Ending your use

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time (account menu → Delete account). We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or if we have to for legal or safety reasons.

Disclaimers and limits

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, Outbound is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything that happens between you and other users or at places, events or services you find through the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for Outbound+ in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under the law that can't be waived.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and Outbound consent to their jurisdiction. If you live outside the United States, this doesn't take away any protection you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, let you know in the App. If you keep using the App after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
